Gateway offers the origination of mortgage loans as well as refinancing to replace a traditional lender. At the end of the 15 year compliance period there is often a need to refinance the small remaining debt on a LIHTC property to maintain the affordability of the housing.  It can sometimes be difficult for not-for-profit and other developers to obtain the financing necessary to develop and maintain this affordable housing.  An affordable first mortgage loan is critical to a property’s long-term success, and Gateway helps fill the need for this product in the St. Louis and Kansas City metropolitan regions.
